It's merely 18 months since the German tuner edo competition produced the fastest Lamborghini Murcielago to date, by extracting 700bhp from an LP 640's V12 engine - thus creating the LP710 (710PS). Since then, it's been continually experimenting with the model, and has just revealed its monstrous LP750, yup, with 750PS - or 740bhp in old money.

The extra power has been generated by modifications to the cylinder heads of the 6.5-litre V12, as well as the installation of a high flow airbox. Prior modifications to the standard LP 640 include high performance exhaust headers, high flow catalytic converters, more aggressive camshaft profiles and a completely reprogrammed ECU.

These latest upgrades bring its already phenomenal top speed of 219mph up to 227mph, as well as enabling a 0-62mph sprint time of only 3.1 seconds - with just a further 6.6 seconds getting you to 124mph.

Complementing the engine upgrades are an enhanced aerodynamics package that is designed to improve high-speed stability and of course add to the appearance. A new high-speed light alloy wheel and tyre set up is also included.

Upon special request, the crazy Lambo can be converted from all-wheel drive to rear-wheel only, resulting in a 40kg weight saving.
